Mrs L v A Firm of Solicitors
Mrs L had specifically instructed her lawyers that she was purchasing the property as an investment and would be putting it on the rental market. Following completion, it was found that there was a restrictive covenant on the property prohibiting letting.
The matter was settled and our client successfully recovered the costs of advertising and selling the property together with consequential losses in respect of the loss of rental income.
